Swimming Analysis

Everything, up front

How the analysis works, what it costs, and what happens to your video. If something is missing, ask us and we will answer it properly.

How it works

What do I actually get?
A full report on one race: lap and split times, reaction and flight time, underwater distance and speed off every wall, breakout times, stroke rate, distance per stroke, stroke index, turn times and pacing consistency. Over 20 metrics in total, charted, with your race broken into its phases. See the full breakdown
How long until I get my report?
Within 48 hours of upload. You get a notification as soon as your analysis is ready, so there is nothing to check or chase in the meantime.
Who tags the race?
A person does, frame by frame. Starts, breakouts, strokes and turns are timestamped by hand against the video rather than estimated by automatic detection, which is what makes the timings precise enough to compare across races.
Is footage from my phone good enough?
Yes. A steady phone video shot from the stands is what most races are analyzed from. Upload an MP4 or MOV up to 1.5 GB. What matters is that the swimmer stays in frame for the whole race and that the recording angle lets the key moments be seen.
Which races can you analyze?
The 50, 100 and 200 in long course (50m), short course (25m) and short course yards. Stroke does not change the analysis. Freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly all use the template for that distance and pool.
What if my video cannot be used?
We may reject a submission for video quality, an unusable recording angle, or a technical problem with the file. Every rejection returns the credit to the account it came from automatically, so a rejected race never costs you anything.

Credits and payment

What does one analysis cost?
You buy analyses in packs rather than paying a subscription, and the per-analysis price drops as the pack gets bigger. Current prices for individual swimmers are on the athletes page, and team packs are on the teams page. See athlete pricing
When is a credit actually charged?
At upload, not when the analysis comes back. One credit is consumed per race video submitted, and it is returned automatically if the video is rejected.
Do credits expire?
Credits are valid for 12 months from your most recent purchase or top-up, and every new purchase extends the validity of your whole remaining balance for another 12 months. We send an in-app notice about 30 days before expiry, and again by email about a week before. Terms, section 7.2
Which currency am I charged in?
Turkish Lira for buyers in Turkey, VAT/KDV included, and US Dollars everywhere else. The currency is determined automatically, the price you see at checkout is the price you are charged, and any refund is issued in that same currency.
Can I get a refund?
A rejected video always refunds its credit automatically. Beyond that, purchased credits are non-refundable except in the specific cases set out in the Refund Policy, including your statutory right of withdrawal. Read the Refund Policy

Your video and your data

Who can see my race video?
Only the analysis staff who need it to produce your report. Videos are never publicly displayed and are not shared with other users or other teams. This is not a video hosting platform.
Can I re-watch my race in the app?
No, and this is deliberate. The video exists so it can be analyzed; once that is done it is removed. There is no player for athletes, coaches or team owners anywhere in the platform. What you keep is the report.
What happens to my video afterwards?
It is deleted on a fixed schedule: 14 days after your race is analyzed or rejected. A video still not analyzed 30 days after upload is automatically rejected, refunded and deleted. Your analysis and its metrics stay in your account permanently. Only the footage goes.
Someone else appears in my footage. Can it be removed?
Yes. Email [email protected] and the video is deleted within 7 days of a verified request.
Can I get my analyses out?
Any analysis can be downloaded as a PDF report, so you can hand it to a swimmer or keep it on file independently of the platform.

Teams and coaches

How do squads work?
A team is divided into sub-teams that mirror your real club structure: age groups, senior squad, satellite sites. Coaches are assigned to specific sub-teams, and squads roll up into club-level progress automatically. See team features
Whose credit is used when a coach uploads for an athlete?
The athlete's. A coach submitting a race on behalf of a swimmer consumes that swimmer's credit, and a rejection refunds it back to the swimmer, not to the coach.
What can a coach see?
Only the athletes in the sub-teams they have been assigned to. A coach with no sub-team assignment has no access to athlete data at all, and no coach can see athletes outside their own squads.
Can coaches buy credits?
No. Purchasing is the team owner’s job. Coaches use the credits the team owner has allocated to their squads.
Do my coach and my team see my analyses?
If you are a member of a team, yes. Every analysis you run is visible to your team owner and to the coaches of the squads you belong to. That is what lets them act on it.

Accounts

How old do you have to be?
You must be at least 18, or a swimmer aged 10 or above whose parent or legal guardian has created and manages the account on their behalf.
Is the analysis coaching advice?
No. The metrics, comparisons and written reports are informational. They describe what happened in the race. What to change in training is a decision for you and your coach.
