1. WHAT ARE COOKIES
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it.
This policy also covers browser local storage and session storage, similar technologies that store data on your device. Local storage persists until you clear it; session storage is discarded when the browser tab is closed.
2. WHAT WE USE AND WHY
Swimming Analysis currently uses only essential cookies and local storage.
2.1 Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function. Without them you cannot log in or use any authenticated feature. They cannot be disabled without breaking the platform. Because they are strictly necessary, they are set without asking for your consent: the legal basis is the strictly-necessary exemption (for visitors in the EEA, Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive) and, under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), Article 5(2)(c) and (f). The locale cookie, the only preference cookie in this table, is written only when you choose a language; because it delivers an information society service you have explicitly requested, it rests on the strictly-necessary basis above, as do the preference items in Section 2.2.

Signing out expires every sb- cookie in your browser at once: the session cookies, sb-remember and any verifier cookies.
Cloudflare Turnstile. The sign-in, sign-up, forgot-password, email-change, password-change and contact forms embed Cloudflare's Turnstile bot check, loaded from challenges.cloudflare.com inside its own frame. Any cookies or storage it uses are scoped to Cloudflare's own domain within that frame and are described in Cloudflare's cookie policy linked above.
2.2 Local Storage and Session Storage
These are not cookies; they are stored in your browser's local storage or session storage and are written only when the platform needs them: your layout preferences, your sidebar preferences, the status of an upload in progress, a timestamp recording that you signed out on purpose, short-lived markers used to re-check your session across tabs, and (on staff accounts only) a draft of an in-progress race-tagging session. The preference items remain until you clear them; the others are cleared when the action they track completes, or when the session or tab closes.
None of this data is transmitted to us or to any third party. The two preference items hold no personal data and rest on the same basis as the essential cookies; you can clear them at any time (Section 3.2).
3. MANAGING COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE
3.1 Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings; your browser's help pages explain how.
Please note: Deleting or blocking our authentication cookies will log you out of the platform and prevent you from logging back in until a new session cookie is set.
3.2 Local Storage
You can clear local storage by clearing your browser's site data; this resets your layout and sidebar preferences to their defaults.
4. CHANGES AND CONTACT
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, and will update it whenever we add or remove a cookie or a similar technology.
